Over the years, I've worked closely with a wide range of small service providers — therapists, counselors, consultants, and others who are excellent at what they do but didn't go into business to manage spreadsheets. I've also run businesses of my own, which means I understand firsthand what it feels like when the financial side of things starts to pile up.
What I kept hearing — and experiencing myself — is that people in service-based businesses often let their bookkeeping slide, not because they don't care, but because it's overwhelming and there's always something more urgent. The result? Stress at tax time, foggy financial pictures, and a nagging sense that the books are never quite right.
That's where I come in. I started JP Bookkeeping Co. to give small service providers a reliable, affordable option for keeping their finances organized all year long — not just scrambling at the end of the year.
My focus is entirely on bookkeeping. I don't offer tax preparation, financial planning, or CPA services, and I won't pretend otherwise. What I do offer is clean, accurate books, straightforward monthly reports, and the peace of mind that comes with knowing someone has it handled.
Much of my bookkeeping experience has been with mental health professionals running private practices — a group with a financial flow that's genuinely different from most small businesses.
